Hey! I haven’t disappeared, I’ve been doing my workouts religiously. I have cut back on the cardio a bit though. The good part is volleyball and basketball season is starting in the next couple weeks so that’s 3 sports nights per week. That’ll help with the cardio. I do go for the odd run still about once a week or so if I have time, but my focus has been on the weights. I love how you can make your body look how ever you want with weights. Another multi day update. I did double workouts for the past two as I was very busy and couldn’t squeeze in my cardio during the day so I did 30 minutes on the bike after each of the past two workouts. It takes a lot longer but it works well! One thing I did is increase the resistance on the bike to make my 30 minutes more effective. I used to set it at 5 for the “effort” setting but set it at 10 for the last two. I burned TWICE as many calories with this simple adjustment. Read more


So today I figured I’d do another multiple day update. School seems to out so the gym is now packed with high school kids. That is not a good time but they typically stop going after a couple days and their workouts are very short and sweet. I think I counted 15 of them in the one room on Tuesday though. Yikes. That’s way too many. I have no problem with them other then they take up all the weights and space!

Chest and triceps today. Yesterday was a holiday and today is my birthday so it’s a birthday workout! The gym was a little busier then normal but I hit a new personal best. I did 335 lbs on the bench press for 3 reps. I was pretty happy with that. It’s not the cleanest bench press but it’s up there. I do as many as I can then drop a plate from each side. Anyhow here’s my workout:

I did chest and triceps today. The workout seemed to fly by even though the gym was PACKED. There is nothing worse then waiting forever for a machine or bench or cables. UHHHHH!!! I’m not sold on the value of the sidebends yet. I think the rotations I was doing before were getting better results. But it’s a totally different exercise and targets a different area I guess.

I’m not sure why but I really don’t like doing triceps. I think they’re my least favorite body to workout. Sure they compliment the arms and biceps, but working them is just BORING to me. I do however love working my chest out. It’s probably one of my favorite parts besides shoulders, biceps and legs. (AKA the rest of my body!). What’s your least favorite part to workout? Did my chest and tricep workout this morning. Nothing special happened besides getting cut off from the ab machine by some old lady. I was clearly standing there waiting to use it when the dude got off, some old lady jumped on it right in front of me. She said, “I’ll only be two minutes”. Yay! I wasn’t waiting to do my last exercise and leave the gym. I’ll just stand here like a moron waiting for you to use the machine.
